Special Weather Statement 12/15/2024 23:55 for Connecticut areas

There are reports of icy conditions in and around the New Haven area as a light northerly flow combined with eroding dry air has allowed temperatures to drop to around freezing in spots. While precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain, cold ground temperatures, especially overpasses will result in some icing. This should be short-lived as temperatures are forecast to gradually warm, but nevertheless a hazard. Plan on slippery road conditions through about 5 am.
