Expires:

Description:
An Alberta clipper will cause impactful winter weather across
much of southwest, west-central, and south central North Dakota
Wednesday through Thursday. Although the highest snow totals are
expected across northern North Dakota, 1 to 3 inches of accumulating
snow is possible from Watford City, to Garrison, to LaMoure, with
lower amounts to the south. There is also a medium chance of
freezing rain for areas south and west of the Missouri River,
which could lead to a glaze of ice.
From Wednesday night through Thursday morning, strong northwest
winds with gusts up to 55 mph are expected across western and
south central North Dakota. This could result in significant
visibility reductions from blowing snow in open areas, especially
from Williston to Bismarck to south of Jamestown.
Be prepared for hazardous travel conditions Wednesday through
Thursday, and be sure to check the latest forecast and road
reports before traveling.
