Description: 
Rain will begin this afternoon and change to snow later this afternoon as temperatures fall into the mid 30s and lower. Scattered snow showers will continue at least through the evening tonight. A dusting to one-half inch of snow will be possible across the Cumberland Plateau and lower elevations of northeast Tennessee. Accumulations will be mainly grassy surfaces and higher exposed objects. Ridgetops and higher peaks along the plateau may have localized amounts of up to 1 inch of snow. Slow down and use caution if traveling across the higher elevations this afternoon and overnight tonight. Be prepared for the possibilty of snow covered roadways and locally icy conditions.
