Description:
HAZARDS...A lake effect snow band which can rapidly reduce
visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. A quick 1 to 2 inches
of accumulation could occur locally through 11 to 1130 pm.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 939 PM EST, a lake effect snow band was
moving into southern Cambria county, developing further towards the
southeast at around 20 mph.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Johnstown, Westmont, Windber, Belmont, Nanty-Glo, Portage, Geistown,
Southmont, Vinco, Dale, East Conemaugh, Salix-Beauty Line Park,
Davidsville, Central City, Beaverdale-Lloydell, Paint, Jerome, South
Fork, Scalp Level, and Sidman.
Snow covered and slippery road conditions can be anticipated on
portions of Route 219.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time to reach your destination.
