Description:
At 1218 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Coon Creek Lake, or 14 miles southeast of Athens,
moving north at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Chandler, Brownsboro, Edom, Lake Palestine, Brushy Creek, Murchison,
Poynor, Moore Station, New York, Bradford, LaRue, Springfield, and
Bois D'arc.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for central Texas.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for
central and north central Texas.
