Description:
At 734 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Emory, or 14 miles northeast of Wills Point, moving northeast at 55
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Van
Zandt, southern Hopkins and Rains Counties, including the following
locations... Myrtle Springs, Jones, Flats, Alsa, Cornersville, Pine
Forest, Hermits Cove, and Martin Springs.
This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 517 and 528.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until noon CST for
north central Texas.
