Description:
Areas of fog have continued overnight across the southern
Adirondacks and the Lake George Saratoga Region in eastern New
York and across all of southern Vermont. Some of the fog is
locally dense, with visibility down to a quarter mile or less. The
fog is due to a combination of abundant moisture in the air and
temperatures near or just above freezing over the snowpack in
place. The fog may be the most dense near the major river
valleys.
If driving early this morning, slow down, use your low beam
headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Visibility
is expected to gradually improve later this morning.
