Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Likelihood of major
impacts from snow is greater than 70 percent. Total snow
accumulations between 8 and 12 inches.
* WHERE...Marias Pass, Polebridge, Bad Rock Canyon, Highway 83
Bigfork to Swan Lake, and Essex.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM MST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute, especially over higher
passes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow rates will intensify along with strong
east winds gusting to 40 mph, which will cause blowing snow, and
reduced visibility down to one quarter miles at times. Wind chill
temperatures as low as 20 below zero at Marias Pass.
