* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. Isolated higher amounts possible south of I-70. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and west central Indiana. * WHEN...From 10 AM Sunday to 1 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a sharp south to north snowfall accumulation gradient across Central Indiana. Lower confidence exists in exactly where this sharp gradient sets up, but latest guidance suggests it could be near or just north of the Indy metro area. Snow amounts could vary greatly over short distances. Stay tuned for further updates on the forecast.
