* WHAT...Heavy snow expected in southern Cook County. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches, locally up to 8 inches in far eastern Cook County. * WHERE...Southern Cook County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation. * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to midnight CST tonight. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including parts of Highway 61. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Localized areas near and east of the city of Grand Marais are expected to see high snowfall rates around 1 inch per hour after 2 PM this afternoon and lasting into the early evening hours today.
