The latest forecast trends have reduced the overall amount of snowfall and also shifted the storm track slightly further south. * WHAT...Heavy snow likely. A high probability (between 60-80% chance) of at least 6 inches of snow. Heavy mixed precipitation possible. A medium probability (between 40-60% chance) of at least one tenth of an inch of accumulating flat ice. * WHERE...Heavy snowfall across portions of central, east central, southeast, and west central Illinois. Freezing rain and ice accumulation confined to areas along and south of Highway 50 across southeast Illinois. * WHEN...From late Saturday night through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
