Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5
inches are possible across the region, with locations within the
northwest lower Michigan snowbelt having the potential to see 10
inches or more of snow from Wednesday into Thursday. Winds could
gust as high as 40 mph, creating whiteout conditions at times,
particularly Wednesday evening into Thursday.
* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Whiteout conditions are
possible. Travel could be hazardous to dangerous at times on area
roadways across northern lower Michigan. Widespread blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility, especially in open areas.
The hazardous conditions will likely impact travel from Wednesday
afternoon through the day on Thursday.
