Description:
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations
between 4 and 7 inches possible. Winds could gust between 30 and
40 mph Wednesday evening with as high as 45 mph near the lake
shore.
* WHERE...Cass MI, Northern Berrien, Southern Berrien, and St.
Joseph MI Counties.
* WHEN...From Wednesday evening through late Thursday night.
* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are possible especially near the
lake shore and may make travel treacherous and potentially
life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.
During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
