* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...In Maryland, Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties. * WHEN...From Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow and lowest visibility are most likely early Thursday morning, and may impact the Thursday morning commute. Blowing snow may continue to reduce visibility through Thursday afternoon even after accumulating snow ends. Wind chills will drop to near or below zero by Thursday evening.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
