Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2
feet with localized areas possibly seeing amounts nearing 3 feet.
Eastern slopes and elevations below 7,500 feet likely see total
snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches. Winds could gust as high as
80 mph at times.
* WHERE...Absaroka Mountains.
* WHEN...From this evening through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will differ in intensity over a 3
day span with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall. Periodic wind
gusts in excess of 80 mph and snowfall will likely create near
whiteout conditions at times. Warm temperatures during the day
will likely lead to a transition over to rain, mainly across
elevations below 7,500 feet with a return to snow by nightfall.
