Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2
feet with localized areas along the highest peaks possibly seeing
amounts nearing 3 feet. Elevations around or below 7500 feet
likely see lesser amounts of 1 to 4 inches Winds could gust as
high as 60 mph at times.
* WHERE...Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains.
* WHEN...From this evening through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning and evening commutes along Teton and
Togwotee Passes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will differ in intensity over a 3
day span with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall. Periodic wind
gusts in excess of 60 mph and snowfall will likely create near
whiteout conditions at times. Warm temperatures during the day
will likely lead to a transition over to rain, mainly across
elevations below 7,500 feet with a return to snow by nightfall.
