Description:
* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 6 to 12
inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as
40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE...Allegany County. The greatest accumulations will be across
the higher terrain in the western portion of the county.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult at times with snow covered
roads and reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Instruction:
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
