Description:
* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 6 to 12
inches in the most persistent lake snows, spread out in several
batches over the next few days. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph
today through tonight, and 40 mph Saturday through Saturday night,
will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE...Orleans and Monroe Counties. The greatest accumulations
will likely be along and north of Route 104.
* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult at times with snow covered
roads. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.
The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening commute.
Instruction:
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
