* WHAT...Mixed precipitation and snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. * WHERE...Rawlins, Thomas, and Logan Counties. * WHEN...From noon Saturday to 6 PM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on hazardous road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A wintry mix in the form of freezing drizzle, freezing rain and sleet are forecast through the day Saturday before transitioning to snow overnight Saturday. Snowfall will cover any ice accumulations on sidewalks and roadways leading to hazardous travel conditions by hiding the ice.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. For road conditions in Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado call 511. Do not use GPS for alternate routes or go around barricades. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slick roads and limited visibilities, turn off cruise control and use extra caution while driving. Persons traveling on Interstate 70 will experience travel delays and hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution if you must travel.
