Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A wintry mix of freezing drizzle, sleet and freezing rain through the day and early evening Saturday will then transition to all snow overnight Saturday and through Sunday morning. Snowfall will hide any ice on sidewalks and roadways leading to hazardous travel conditions. Winds will also increase Sunday morning leading to blowing snow especially across Gove, Sheridan, and Graham counties resulting in significant visibility reductions. If the mixed precipitation can turn over to snow quicker then snow amounts will increase.
Instruction:
Slow down and use caution while traveling. For road conditions in Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado call 511. Do not use GPS for alternate routes or go around barricades. Persons traveling on Interstate 70 will experience travel delays and hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution if you must travel. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slick roads and limited visibilities, turn off cruise control and use extra caution while driving.
