Description:
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.
* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and
northern Maryland.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST this evening. A band
of snow showers will traverse the region this afternoon into the
early evening. Most areas will only see one to three hours of
snowfall.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow could be moderate to heavy at times,
with the potential for snow squalls. These conditions can result
in rapid reductions of visibility and snow accumulation on
roadways, even if temperatures are initially above freezing.
Instruction:
Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
