Description:
* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 4 to 8
inches total in the most persistent lake snows, coming in several
different batches through the weekend. Winds gusting as high as 45
mph will produce considerable blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE...Orleans and Monroe Counties. The greatest accumulations
will be along and north of Route 104.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads. Areas
of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds
will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.
Instruction:
Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
