Description:
* WHAT...Additional snow accumulations below one inch and ice
accumulations around a light glaze.
* WHERE...Portions of western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions. A flash freeze will also lead to icy conditions in
locations that are still near freezing. The hazardous conditions
may impact the morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An arctic blast will arrive Monday and last
through most of the week. Wind chill values will drop into the
single digits or below zero at times, which can be even more
dangerous with any long duration power outages.
Instruction:
Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
