Description:
* WHAT...Light snow and black ice. Additional snow accumulations up
to one inch, with an additional tenth of an inch of ice possible.
Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Black ice will develop on
roadways overnight. Very cold temperatures combined with power
outages may cause difficulties concerning heating. Run generators
outside and in a well-ventilated area.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina and
south central Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
