Description:
* WHAT...Light snow and black ice. Additional snow accumulations up
to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Black ice will
develop on roadways overnight. Very cold temperatures combined
with power outages may cause difficulties concerning heating. Run
generators outside and in a well-ventilated area.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, central, south
central, southwest, and west central Virginia, and southeast West
Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down
tree branches.
