Description:
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to
one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting
as high as 50 mph. Black ice will develop on roadways overnight.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, central, south
central, southwest, and west central Virginia, and southeast West
Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down
tree branches. Very cold temperatures combined with power outages
may cause difficulties concerning heating. High profile vehicles
may have difficulty driving in gusty winds on icy roads.
