Additional snow accumulations 2 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts over northwest Warren County. * WHERE...McKean and Warren Counties. * WHEN...Until noon EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening and Thursday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusting into the 20s will also cause blowing and drifting snow. Wind chills will dip below zero tonight.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
