Description:
* WHAT...Snow expected. Across Johnson and Bartlett Mesas and the
South Central Mountains, total snow accumulations of 2 to 6
inches, with locally higher amounts up to 10 inches across the
highest elevations. Elsewhere, Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4
inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph near the Colorado
border. Gusts up to 40 mph elsewhere.
* WHERE...Eastern Lincoln County, South Central Mountains, Curry
County, Roosevelt County, Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including
Raton Pass, and Southwest Chaves County.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM MST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. This includes along portions of I-25. Areas of
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
