* WHAT...Wintry mix precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations 0.5 to 2.5 inches with locally up to 3 to 3.5 inches along the foothills of the southern Adirondacks. Ice accumulations from a glaze to around one tenth of an inch. * WHERE...The eastern Catskills, Helderbergs, Mohawk Valley and Schoharie Valley of eastern New York. * WHEN...From 9 AM Tuesday to 3 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact today's evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow overspread the region this morning from south to north, before mixing with sleet and freezing rain late this afternoon into this evening. Precipitation will taper off by early Wednesday morning.
