...ACCUMULATING SNOW FOLLOWED BY RAIN FOR NORTHERN SE AK...
.Heavy snow showers have started to change over to rain across
the Icy Strait Corridor. Snow could hold on longer for areas
north of the Icy Strait Corridor (Haines) before a changeover to
rain occurs.
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches.
* WHERE...Haines Borough and Klukwan.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM AKST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Around 4 inches has already accumulated
around the area since midnight. Heaviest snow amounts
anticipated in the town area and south along peninsula. The
snow is expected to start to transition to rain late in the
afternoon.
Instruction:
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of
winter weather.
