Description:
* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to
7 inches across much of Geauga County, southern Lake County, and
inland Ashtabula County. Accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are
expected in northern Ashtabula County, north of I-90 in Lake
County, and southern and eastern Cuyahoga County. Western Cuyahoga
County will see lighter accumulations.
* WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Cuyahoga, Geauga,
and Lake Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A burst of snow will accompany a front this
evening followed by lake effect snow showers. A narrow band of
heavier snow connected to Lake Huron is expected to drift across
parts of eastern Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties for much of
Saturday with rates up to 1 inch per hour. If this band is
persistent in one area, locally higher amounts are possible.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
