Expected
Effective:
December 23, 2024 - 6:28pm
Expires:
December 24, 2024 - 2:00am
Description:
Heavy snow is expected overnight along and near Interstate 80.
Although there is high confidence that snow amounts in the

snow will fall in a short time period (just a few hours), leading to
rapid buildup on roads.
In the ridges, a brief burst of snow is possible just before
sunrise, with a rapid transition to a prolonged period of freezing
drizzle, which could lead to a light glaze of ice by late Tuesday
morning.
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. An initial burst of snow near
sunrise, followed by a prolonged period of freezing drizzle. Total
snow accumulation up to one inch and a light glaze of ice.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Pennsylvania and northern West
Virginia.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 7 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
