Description:
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches
above 6000 feet, locally higher over peaks. Winds gusting as high
as 55 mph.
* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
County/Lassen Park Counties.
* WHEN...Until noon PST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery travel conditions, with travel delays
and chain controls possible. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Thursday and Friday commutes. Periods of heavy snow and gusty
winds could bring near whiteout conditions at times.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels 6000 to 6500 feet this afternoon,
then expected to increase by Friday morning to around 7000 to 8000
feet.
