...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING..
.Bands of snow showers will continue to move west to east across
southeast Alaska Monday morning. These snow showers may be
moderate to heavy at times, resulting in variable snow amounts
across the region. Under the heaviest snow showers showers,
expect visibilities to be reduced to one mile or less with
isolated areas seeing upwards of 2 to 6 inches of snowfall
through Monday morning. A band of heavy snowfall set up overnight
in parts of Juneau and Douglas and a Winter Storm Warning has been
issued.
* WHAT...Snow showers. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2
inches. Total accumulations of 2 to 6 inches through Monday
morning.
* WHERE...Portions of Southeast Alaska.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM AKDT this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to the nature of these snow showers,
snow accumulations and impacts will be highly variable across
region.
