...PERIODS OF SNOW FOR PARTS OF THE PANHANDLE THROUGH SUNDAY
NIGHT...
.Temperatures are expected to start cooling again this evening
into Sunday with bands of snow moving through the southern and
central panhandle Sunday into Sunday night. Accumulations in the
south will be the highest on the higher elevations of Prince of
Wales Island midday Sunday, but will have more accumulations
expected at sea level by Sunday evening and night as temperatures
cool Sunday evening.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5
inches.
* WHERE...Ketchikan Gateway Borough and Annette Island.
* WHEN...From 4 PM Sunday to 4 AM AKDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning commute.
Instruction:
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of
winter weather.
