Description:
...ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW EXPECTED FOR THE SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL
PANHANDLE THROUGH MONDAY...
.The shortwave that moved through the panhandle Sunday is now
deteriorating over the northern panhandle, bringing widespread
showers through the central and southern panhandle in its wake.
Snow showers may bring visibility down to less then a mile at
times, with light to moderate snowfall rates expected. Localized
higher snowfall rates will remain possible with heavier showers,
with most accumulations happening through Sunday evening and night
as daytime temperatures cool. As the low continues to stall over
northern Baranof and Chichagof Islands, communities such as
Tenakee Springs and Angoon have the possibility of seeing more
continuous snow showers overnight. Uncertainty remains for the
final positioning of the low, as different positions may bring
different snow totals to the communities it sits over.
