Description:
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 2 inches for
Kodiak City and 4 to 8 inches, with locally higher amounts, for
locations above 200 feet in elevation.
* WHERE...Kodiak Island Northeast.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts for communities along the
immediate coast, including Kodiak City, will be highly dependent
on temperature and precipitation intensity. Up to 2 inches of
heavy, wet snow is possible for Kodiak City, with rain mixing in
at times. 4 to 8 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts, are
possible for locations higher than 200 feet above sea level.
