...SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUING THROUGH TONIGHT...
.Two round of snow showers are expected for the Icy Strait
corridor associated with a weak warm front moving northward. Due
to the isolated light to moderate snow showers currently
occurring, localized areas of higher overall accumulations are
possible. Observed snow characteristic reported by trained
spotters reports that snow is light, fluffy, and therefore may
accumulate quickly. Additionally, poor visibility conditions down
to one half mile are possible in moderate snow showers.
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.
* WHERE...Glacier Bay, Eastern Chichagof Island, Cape
Fairweather to Lisianski Strait and City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the evening commute in Juneau.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sporadic snow showers will continue
through the day, with an organized band moving in during the
evening hours.
