...SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUING THROUGH TONIGHT...
.The second round of snow showers are expected for the Icy Strait
corridor. Observed snow characteristic reported by trained
spotters reports that snow is light, fluffy, and therefore may
accumulate quickly. Additionally, poor visibility conditions down
to one half mile are possible in moderate snow showers.
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches.
* WHERE...Glacier Bay, Eastern Chichagof Island, Cape
Fairweather to Lisianski Strait and City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Powdery snow will
accumulate quickly.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Approximately a trace to 2 have fallen
across Icy Strait. Organized showers are expected to begin
shortly.
