...MESSY WINTER SYSTEM TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING... .A strong storm system will move into the area tonight, exiting the area Wednesday. Several inches of wet, heavy snow is expected across parts of the eastern UP, with a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain from the Mackinac Bridge to approximately M-72, with a greater potential for significant freezing rain accumulations from Roscommon to Alpena and Harrisville, including some areas hard-hit by the March 2025 Ice Storm. * WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Arenac and Gladwin Counties. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
