Description:
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation and patchy blowing snow expected.
Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches and ice
accumulations between one tenth and three tenths of an inch. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Hand, Hughes, Hyde, and Sully Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Friday to 1 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage possible due to the ice.
Travel could be nearly impossible. The combination of falling snow
and winds will lead to periods of blowing snow that may briefly
reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
