...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES EXTENDED TO INCLUDE THE INTERSTATE 80
SUMMIT AND SOUTHEASTERN CARBON COUNTY...
* WHAT...Snow, heavy at times this evening, with visibilities
occasionally as low as one quarter of a mile. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph
with patchy blowing snow possible.
* WHERE...North Snowy Range Foothills including Arlington and Elk
Mountain along Interstate 80.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM MDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.
Instruction:
Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
