* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Root River at Racine.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, There is flooding in Lincoln Park and
Horlick Park in Racine.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 6.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.0
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
7.0 feet on 05/24/2004.

Instruction:
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
