* IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, Floodwaters affect Martintown Road and
West River Road in the Martintown area. Upstream in Browntown,
floodwaters affect highway MM and West Indies Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 13.8 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
13.8 feet on 06/21/1996.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
