Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Kenosha and Lake Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin... Crawfish River At Milford affecting Jefferson County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Fox River at Princeton. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Floodwaters are in the back yards of some homes along South Farmer, Jefferson, North Mechanic and West Water Streets in Princeton. There is general minor flooding in the Princeton area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Friday was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow evening and continue falling to 8.5 feet Friday, May 01. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.4 feet on 05/11/2012. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
